Rene Bracelet, hand-laced with kangaroo leather to create a beautiful braid!

Each Rene Bracelet is meticulously hand-laced by Linda Brown of Sooke, British Columbia, from genuine, soft-yet strong, kangaroo leather lace to create a stunning, unique, braid.   The bracelet offers a delicate, yet strong accessory, and is designed and crafted to give a lifetime of pleasure – both to look at and wear!  

The Rene Bracelet is available custom sized, and the brightly colored 3/32-inch kangaroo leather lace displays beautiful detail.  My personal favorite is black; classy from the boardroom to the bar! 

Double Rene with Beads:

My first original design!  This is a ruly stunning cuff, meticulously handcrafted and decordated with silver coloured metal beads.  This particular cuff is made with 1/16" thin kangaroo leather lace, resulting in a delicate, but strong fashion accessory.  Of course, we can design a custom cuff just for you in your own choice of size, colour, geads and lace width to create your special look.

The Rene Red Hatter Bracelet, custom braided from kangaroo leather lace in red and purple for a Red Hat Society Member

 The ability to use different colours of lace to create unique bracelets for special groups is a definite plus.  I can still see the smile on the face of a member of the Red Hat Society when she received her custom colours!  It was so important to her that she be able to wear a unique accessory for a very special event, and the Rene Red Hatter was perfect for her.  To offer excellent value for my customers, the basic Rene Bracelet includes a choice of up to two different colours to create your own custom bracelet.

The Rene Rasta Bracelet, in Pan-African Colours hand crafted from genuine kangaroo leather lace

I originally created the Rene Rasta Bracelet for a good friend, Steve, who is so knowledgable about the Rastafarian movement.  Each Pan-African Colour (green, gold and red) has been nestled into the center of a black-laced braid.  I've had so many requests from existing customers for this particular design that I always keep a few on hand in popular sizes.  It doesn't matter the size of your wrist: from the very small to the very large, I can custom fit a Rene Bracelet just for you.

The most popular Rene Bracelet of all is the Rene Pride Rainbow Bracelet!  Each Colour of the pride rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet) have been nestled into the center of a black-laced braid.  The Rene Pride Rainbow Bracelet is appropriate for, and admired by, gays and lesbians of all ages who want to celebrate Pride or just enjoy the attractive rainbow colours of the laced braid.  

The Rene Charm and Rene Medic Alert Bracelets, offer a unique way to display charms nestled in a hand laced braid, hand crafted from genuine kangaroo leather lace.

Just looking at these bracelets you can appreciate their beautiful design and expert craftsmanship.  No shortcuts are ever taken to create a Rene Bracelet.  The four to five-oz veggy tanned cowhide leather base is hand cut, edges beveled, burnished and dyed to ensure a beautiful finish.  The cowhide base is expertly wrapped and a laced braid created with 3/32 inch kangaroo leather lace, expertly crafted; even tension, consistent and solid.  The bracelet measures about 5/8 inch wide and the laced braid raises to about 1/4 inch high including the base.  For a more dramatic Rene Bracelet, a 1/8 inch wide lace is available for the laced braid. 

I exclusively use kangaroo leather lace for my braiding, knotting and lacing projects.  Kangaroo is one of the strongest lightweight leathers available today, and yet is soft, flexible and abrasion resistant.  The superior quality of kangaroo leather lace provides exceptional value despite the higher cost of a completed project as compared to other leathers.  Beauty aside, the lace can withstand the test of pulling necessary to create fancy knots and braids - as well as the test of time.

To ensure correct sizing and customer satisfaction for custom orders, I will require the circumference measurement of your wrist.  Please use a cloth measuring tape to ensure accuracy, and advise if you prefer a tight, medium or loose fit.  I will make sizing adjustments for you.  If I'm not participating in a vendor booth, it will take only two days to professionally handcraft your bracelet for you.
